Worm gears are right angle drives that provide large equipment ratios with reasonably brief center-to-middle distances from 1/4″ to 11″. When effectively installed and lubricated, they provide as the quietest, smoothest-running equipment kind. Since worm gear drives can attain substantial equipment ratios, maximum reduction can be reached in a scaled-down space than several other varieties of equipment drives. The worm and worm equipment run at a 90° angle on non-intersecting axes.
